My couple is such a fan of the outdoors, and of hiking in general so when we discussed the location for their engagement session, I could think of nowhere more perfect than this beautiful, massive park in the middle of Rosewell, GA. We had a quick lunch and a few drinks beforehand and then headed into the park. What I was most impressed by was that the park is freindly to all levels of hikers. It's an incredible location. Old Mill Park's epic backgrounds with all their waterfalls and covered bridges were the perfect location for this engagement portrait session. Denise and Rob were posed on the edge of one of the park's beautiful waterfalls. I was shooting with a 14mm lens and leaning (oh so carefully) above and slightly in front of them. I love the dynamic quality of the shot and also its highly unexpected nature. I love a fearless couple and I am always pushing boundaries to get the most dynamic and interesting images for my clients. Their playing along definitely amps the excitement inherent in the image. And yes, it was scary shooting like this. The rock was slightly tilted toward the fall and didn't want to fall of the edge but I desperately wanted the shot. As always, the shot wins out over safety for me!
