Sapelo Island is one of my favorite places in the world and Reynolds Mansion on Sapelo Island is absolutely one of my top wedding venues. I love the slightly decayed opulence. I love how you can rent the whole mansion out for your wedding guests to stay in together. And I love how its a state park so its relatively cheap. An, oh my... The light. Its simply incredible and it makes my photographer's heart pitter patter.
Elizabeth and Tyler's entire family and friends group were up for absolutely anything I suggested. We shot in the ocean. Yes, I was in there with them. We shot in the pool. Yes, I was in there with them. We shot long exposures under the Milky Way. And we shot Tyler getting ready outside under the live oaks. And this image is one of my absolute favorites from the whole weekend. He's so handsome and utterly cool. The hair stylist's tattooed arms sweeping in from the left is such a wonderful detail and while everything else is out of focus so your eye flows exactly where it should. Its one of the shots that I return to time and time again because it makes me so happy. And I am thrilled to know it is one of my clients' favorites as well!
