When Devlina and Steve first started talking about their engagement session, we immediately dived into their shared history. New York City was a touchstone throughout their history together. The more we talked about it, the more we knew that NY and especially the Brooklyn Bridge.

I took my son, Jobe, with me to act as my assistant and all around sherpa. It was his first trip to New York City and only his second time seeing me shoot. He immediately bonded with my bride and groom and he did an amazing job hauling and carrying.

We started the day at the Museum of Modern Art, then we hit up Central Park. After that, because it was 9 billion degrees outside, we headed back to our hotel rooms, got a little cooler and a little less gross and a quick nap. After that, we met back up for our walk across The Brooklyn Bridge and then hit up a pizza parlor that was too delicious. Finally, we sent Jobe to the hotel and hit up several very cool little bars including The Library and The Back Room which is rumored to be one of two still-operating Prohibition-era speakeasies. I loved the last bar because all cocktails were served in teacups and saucers. I felt so posh!
